Saarela’s Moonlite Bay is an island fishing resort on Lake of the Woods, offering all the comforts of home in a peaceful, uncrowded setting. We are unique in that we have only five guest cabins, allowing us to provide a more personal and relaxed experience for every guest.
With just five well-spaced guest cabins across our portion of the island, our boutique-style resort offers attentive customer care, privacy, and plenty of room to unwind. In addition to world-class fishing in Sabaskong Bay near Morson, Ontario, guests can enjoy boat rentals, guide service, shore lunch, a horse shoe pit, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, lakeside fire pits, and time to simply relax and recharge.
Moonlite Bay is a family-run fishing resort, owned and operated by Andrew and Meagan Saarela, along with their children, Rylee and Macksin.
Andrew and Meagan purchased the resort in 2015, and since then have continuously invested in improving and maintaining the property. Over the years, all five guest cabins, the main lodge, and the dock system have been thoughtfully updated and expanded. We take great pride in offering clean, comfortable cabins and maintaining the overall look and feel of the resort, ensuring a welcoming and well-kept experience for every guest.
